What's the most exotic or interesting place you've spent the holiday season?

Winning Entry: Athens, Greece on Glyfada Beach entertaining and feeding about 40 valiant US Naval officers and servicemen of VF 11 air squadron on board the aircraft carrier USS Forrestal. It was a blessing, fun, a sense of family since we were all so far from home. Andit was a challenge since only about 8 of us hosting this were wives of the officers and we were using Greek ovens in centigrade, we were all young marrieds without a lot of cooking experience, and minimal dishes, supplies, and budgets. But at the end of the day everyone there had plenty to eat, fun, and memories that we still reminesce about today. We had Thanksgiving dinner and made Christmas ornaments out of local pinecones, glue, glitter, felt, and rickrack. Isn't that what holidays are to be about afterall?
